Unable to access API center

2024-03-14 Thread Jack Mullinkosson
Hi I have an admin account, but when attempting to access the API center as
outlined here
,

nothing shows up for me. When I attempt to manage the mangers I don't see a
way to add myself as manager (nor would that be necessary I assume?)

I have attached supporting screenshots.

However, when the user identifier is an advertising ID, the jobs seem to
get stuck - reporting that they are 'RUNNING' for a much longer amount of
time, and I have yet to see one ever resolve. The example I'm looking at
now has been running for over a week, for example.

Is this expected behavior? If so, is there a 'typical' amount of time this
takes? Or is something wrong here?

Thank you!

Unexpected UserPermissionDenied Exception When Querying Campaigns

2023-05-31 Thread Jack Williams
Hello Ads API Support,

Can you please assist in determining why we are seeing PermissionDenied
status codes for one specific customer when querying campaigns? We can
query the customer API successfully, but the campaign endpoint fails. We
have also verified that this customer is able to view the requested
campaigns from the UI, but the API is returning a UserPermissionDenied
exception.

Successful Query (RequestID: oD91ZaFv0HbKS04T-dhxYA)

SELECT customer.id, customer.currency_code, customer.final_url_suffix,
customer.tracking_url_template

FROM customer

Failing Query (RequestID: VtD6g6VggAnDj3kyh6LSIA)

SELECT campaign.advertising_channel_type, campaign.id, campaign.name,
campaign.status, campaign.shopping_setting.merchant_id,
campaign.advertising_channel_sub_type, campaign.experiment_type

FROM campaign

WHERE campaign.status IN ('ENABLED', 'PAUSED', 'REMOVED')

ORDER BY campaign.id ASC

Thank you,
Jack

Re: List Accessible Accounts stuck in error loop

2022-05-02 Thread Jack Reidy
Hi,

Thank you for the response. The code you replied with is what is running.
The problem is I am supporting multiple users and this error occurs when
they do not properly enter the correct credentials. When they do enter the
correct details the code proceeds as expected. In both cases the google ads
client appears to be set up properly. I need a way of reporting back to the
user the results of the call, i.e. if it is a bad request I should be able
to alert the user that they entered their credentials incorrectly. Would it
be possible to test the credentials I receive from the end user with a
separate GRPC call?

Best,
Jack

List Accessible Accounts stuck in error loop

2022-04-28 Thread Jack Reidy
Hi team,

During a request to CustomerService/ListAccessibleCustomers if the
credentials the end user inputs are invalid I see a response error of
"invalid_grant" with description "Bad Request". This is expected, however
the client never returns and continually reattempts the bad request. Since
the request does not return I can not return the proper error message and
the code hangs. I am wondering if there is a way to configure the
CustomerServiceClient to either disable this feature or change the number
retry attempts. I have not been able to find very much in the documentation
on this topic. Any help is appreciated. Below is a sample request/response

How can you tell if a field is empty?

Hello,

I am querying both ads and keywords in the same query, how can I tell if it

with if row.ad_group_criterion.keyword.text: ... , but that isn't working
anymore.

Thanks.

CAMPAIGN_LOCATION_TARGET_REPORT Location IDs Mapping question

2020-10-20 Thread Jack
Hello,

I am unable to map Location IDs to the GEO Code/ID massive file that Google
Ads posted. My IDs are 12 in length in the report, and the Criteria IDs in
the file are all 6 in length.

Do you know why this location ID for example isn't available in the look up
table,  916282260922?

Do I have to use the CampaignCriterion service to look up Locations? Is
that possible through Ads Scripts?

Thank you!

Google Ads API Batch Question

2019-04-09 Thread Jack Perry
Hello,

I have a quick question regarding Google Ads API Batch uploads.

Specifically, I need to send up thousands of Keyword bid changes through
the API daily. Without using all of my account's mutate calls, would I just
compile the requests into an operations block and then post that up with a
single request (only be charged a single request)? Or is there a batch
process being developed currently, similar to AdWords API batch process?

Thank you.

Adwords API Batch Jobs, XML SOAP

2018-06-15 Thread jack . e . perry4
Hello!

So I am using XML SOAP directly, no client library. I am trying to obtain
the resumable URL for my batch job that is created. I post an empty HTTP
Request but keep receiving an error about my signature.

Here is my request:
function getResumableUrl(uploadUrl) {
  var authToken = findAccessToken();
  var xml =  'http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/;
xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema;

 'INSERT HERE' +
 'INSERT HERE' +
 'Batch Job Resumable Test' +
 'false' +
 'true' +
   '' +
'' +
  '' +
'' +
  '';

  var headers = {
"content-type": "application/x-www-form-urlencoded",
 "x-goog-resumable": "start",
 "expires": test
};

  var options = {
"Authorization": "Bearer " + authToken,
"Content-Length ": 0,
'Method': "post",
'headers': headers,
muteHttpExceptions: true,
payload: xml
  };
  Logger.log(uploadUrl);
  var response = UrlFetchApp.fetch(uploadUrl, options);
  Logger.log(response);
}

Here is the response:

request signature we calculated does not match the signature you provided.
Check your Google secret key and signing method.POST

I have tried so many different variations and have read through all of the

so much!

 Well, I know that my predeccessor did infact use the WSDL to create
 the code, I am just unsure where to get the source to do it. (Not the
 WSDL.EXE, but the actual codebase for the API), I will have to poke

  You need to either add Google's WSDL's path to your project as a web

  Otherwise, do read the API's documentation, it is well laid out.

Unmarshalling Error: For input string -- for CampaignId

2013-05-21 Thread Jack Roth
Hi

In my program, i'm creating a campagin (successfully).
 xxx = [{ 'operator': 'ADD','operand': { 'campaignId':
self.campaign_id, ...

and later try to create an adgroup:
 yyy = [{ 'operator': 'ADD',
  'operand': {  'campaignId': self.params['campaign_id'],
  'name': 'AdGroup: %s #%s' % (adgroup,
Utils.GetUniqueName()),
 ...
 ad_groups = ad_group_service.Mutate(operations)[0]

self.campaign_id is always
here's yyy contents:
[{'operator': 'ADD', 'operand': {'status': 'ENABLED', 'bids':
{'keywordMaxCpc': {'amount': {'microAmount': '3'}}, 'xsi_type':
'ManualCPCAdGroupBids'}, 'name': 'AdGroup: group #11',
'campaignId': u' 4432644030202152013'}}]
(the numbers are being generated on the fly by urils.GetUniqueName)

this is the error i'm getting in line ad_group_service.Mutate:

AdWordsApiError: Unmarshalling Error: For input string: i
4432644030202152013,

What could be the reason?
How to debug it?

Re: Sandbox Problem: [OperationAccessDenied.ADD_OPERATION_NOT_PERMITTED @ operations[0]]

2012-11-10 Thread Jack Wootton
Hello Karol,

I too experienced this problem. The solution, for me at least, was to
recompile the client. This is actually documented in the README that comes
with the client (Java client in my case), specifically it states:

Every time you modify a file in src/main/resources, you must have Maven
 recompile the project to pick up the changes. If you copy it to your home
 directory, you will not need to recompile every time.

After copying the auto-generated Client ID into my ads.properties AND
recompiling the client, I no longer received ADD_OPERATION_NOT_PERMITTED in
response to the mutate (add) request.

I hope this helps.
Jack

how can I get MCC account info after I calling CampaignService.get mentioned in Using the Sandbox

2011-11-15 Thread Jack
I am following the Getting Started under
http://code.google.com/apis/adwords/docs/sandbox.html
There mentions To create a sandbox account, send a get request to the
sandbox version of CampaignService, using the WSDL location and
sandbox headers as described below. This initial call to the sandbox
creates an MCC sandbox account...

I did a get and used GetAccountHierarchy.java from the sample code
then found 5 clients info, but how can I get the information for the
created MCC sandbox account mentioned above?

Cost of TargetingIdeaService call

2011-01-11 Thread jack
Is the charge based on what's returned or what's asked? For example,
if I ask keywords for just one phrase: home improvement and I ask to
return 20 results. will it be charged as 1 keyword, or 20 keywrods?

TrafficEstimatorService cpc unit

2010-12-22 Thread jack
1. In EstimateRequest, what is the unit of maxCpc? (cent or $?) Do I
have to multiple 1,000,000 for that value in the request?
2. In StatsEstimate (response), what is the unit of averageCpc? (cent
or $?) I got
keywordEstimate.getMin().getAverageCpc().getMicroAmount(). For
example: for auto repair, averageCpc = 1600,000,000. Then I divide
it by 1,000,000 so I got averageCPC= 160. Is $160 or $1.60?
3. I am using sandbox. I found out the keyword input is case-
sensitive. The values returned from API are totally different for
auto repair and Auto Repair.

Dear Adwords Staff,

  I am adwords user in China and I have applied for API in my

it would take to be approved.
 Thanks for your time.
