I love my Metrotech. I have a bunch of Rycoms too as that is the first unit
I used when starting out 43 years ago but the Metrotech is very accurate on
depth.

USIC Uses radiodetection gear, currently they are using the RD-8200.
We just bought a couple RD-7200 new this year and they are very nice
units. Fiber will always locate better if you can attach to the locate
terminal on a splice case vs using the induction clamp FYI.

RD is kind of the standard.
The local distributor is out of the Ottawa\LaSalle area and more than willing
to make site visits, for both pre and post sale.
