RI has an RJ-45 and the uGPS has an RJ-12, is there a special cable we can
make for them to work together?
the uGPSs at this site seem to hold sync just fine but all the packetflux
gps devices are struggling

There isn't a good solution for timing port sync.
However, there's always the power port sync option. For modern radios,
you should be able to use a powerinjector+cambium sync up top, with the GPS
receiver down near the bottom.
