My only real concern is loose state and federal funding eligibility. Not
the buildout, but the monthly service cost. Our governor here offered the
buildout dough on top of the caf buildout areas, more rules, same areas.

Am I the only one that realizes there are pretty much no users on this
network at this point? Besides the latency, wouldn't already existing
satellite do these kinds of speeds with <1% of their current user base?
What happens when we get 100s or 1000s of people on these satellites?
A Ubnt AP does
I would suspect this alpha testing is only going to get better once they
get the bugs worked out. I would not be shocked if we started seeing
100mbps speeds with sub 30ms pings as the normal. Hoping I am wrong but
prepare for the worst. Hopefully they price that package somewhere around
$200/month

Don't forget they're operating on only about 600 sats at this

800 sats
Also, this is when not many users.

It'll be a threat to NLOS fixed wireless, but the LOS services that can do
100-200mbit+ should be safe.
Still a massive improvement over other satellite services.

that last ping test is ahhhinteresting. I guess real-world is somewhere
more like 80-10ms

That was certainly not scary.

If those results held up, this may not be a real threat to fixed wireless.

You can listen to all the BS and disclaimers through the first 5 minutes
or just jump to 5 minutes in to find the results. Well, for an unloaded
net, this isn't going to spin any pinwheels... I am amazed at the
results being this weird...
