Lightpointe is indeed very real.  I've met their Founder Heinz a handful of times and he is incredibly smart. Lightpointe was a major FSO company but they have also OEM'd and designed millimeter-wave radios. I've never cared for their design aesthetic, but have never questioned that they do

If the signals and stuff all look good, that's exactly what I bet it is - one SM screwing everything up. I've had two of those this year. Kick all of the customers if you can, and see if they work quickly. If so, that confirms it. Start an ACL list and allow them one by one until they tank. I
