Your best bet is probably going to be to use a switch that you can force to
10meg... I'd probably use a mikrotik of some sort, but that's mostly just
because I have lots of them sitting around.

Yeah, I suppose you've got one or two 250um fibers inside of a 3000um
buffer tube and that's a fair bit of extra space. Plus the grease in
the tube ought to distribute pressure around.

I would hazard that loose tube is pretty immune from freezing water crushing

We lost a Ubiquiti Rocket M2 during a storm. We replaced it with a "new"
out of box M2 but it won't link with the 10/100/1000 switch. When the
techs bypass the switch they get a 10 megabit link but not 100 megabit
and can access the radio on their laptop but moving the radio back to
the switch
In this case it was a round loose tube drop cable.

It is possible. There are many companies who promote microfiber duct
systems for drops, which are designed to not be very deep. This would
suggest it is not a problem in small plastic conduit. But they would be a
good source for more information. Clearfield is one that comes to mind as
pushing micr
