This is correct. ePMP is not certified for 4.9 GHz operation in the US.

Cambium also just released the 450b SM so there is now a lower cost SM that
works in the 4.9ghz band.

The new 670 has Point to a Few Points and it woks in that band. Prolly looking
at 3x the cost though.

What Sean said about the water/case seal problem, limited issue.
If you want 4.9-5.9 capability, PxP450i or PTP650. 450i is obviously
going to be cheaper. If you're not going to use the integrated panel
version of one of those, then make sure the antennas you choose actually
work down in the
nice thing about 450i vs AF4X is the 450i can do 4.9ghz, 5.2, 5.3,5.4,
5.8ghz where as the AF4X is limited to only 4.9Ghz. You may need the extra
channels for some un-forseen reason down the road.

450i is a solid product and the water intrusion was a limited bad batch.
we installed a 4.9Ghz system for our city and it's been a great solution
for them (and kept the city out of the unlicensed bands)

I am putting up a link for a library and I originally quoted the 450i about
a year ago. This link goes to a Sheriff's department so could use 4.9G so I
would like the product to at least be capable of that band. GPS sync would
be nice as they have plans for another link in the future.
