Re: [AFMUG] 450 platform and firmware 16.1.1 and 16.1.1.1 frame utilazation issues.

2020-03-27 Thread Ken Hohhof
The thread at community.cambiumnetworks.com indicates the problem is
specifically with upstream frame utilization, and being higher after the FW
upgrade, not necessarily going to 100%. Cambium posted they have confirmed it
but they think it is just a reporting issue, but another post questions that
assertion.

They are confirming on the forums that this shows up in 16.2 as well. They are
looking into if it’s just reporting wrong or an actual issue with the frame
utilization.

so far 16.2 seems very stable and gets rid of all the issues 16.1.X had

Re: [AFMUG] 450 platform and firmware 16.1.1 and 16.1.1.1 frame utilazation issues.

2020-03-25 Thread Ken Hohhof
There was something that stopped me from going past 16.0.1.1, I forget what
it was. Went to 16.2 betas for CBRS and now on 16.2 final. We just
deployed our first 3 GHz 450b and I think we had to use 16.2 for that, even
without CBRS.

Is there a reason not to just go to 16.2?

FYI, the 450b seemed fine, no surprises so far. Getting 8X both ways.

Just figured I would throw this on the list its already on the forums but it
cost me the better part of the day so here ya go.

There is a bug in the 16.1.1 and 16.1.1.1 firmware that causes the frame
utilization to peg at or close to 100%.

16.1 works fine.
