I probably go to directv now more than any of the other OTT. Sometimes I go to
Sling but I think DTN has all the same stuff. There is a new one that is very
low cost philo. I have not given it a good try yet.

I just put this page up:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Streaming_and_Satellite_TV_Packages

Tired of comparing packages. It needs lots of work. I would like to change
the x marks out to some code reflecting which packages have that channel. Like
to make the table sortable etc. Do we have a DTV channel lineup yet?

Featuring "very, very aggressive price points," the service is said to include
more than 100 premium channels and will come in app form on smartphones,
tablets, and set-top boxes, although the specifics of the launch were kept to a
minimum.

Well if they can transition 90% of their people to streaming they can sell off
their space segment.

Are the packages identical on streaming to the satellite?

AT believes it can offer something more attractive. The company plans to
initially go after the 20 million households with no pay TV subscription,
Stephenson said.

When asked if DirecTV Now could threaten its DirecTV satellite business,
Stephenson (CEO) acknowledged some risk. But "that's a good sign," he said.

"If you don't see them threatening your legacy products, 99 percent of the time
they don't go anywhere," he said. "It means you found something the market
really wants."
