FORMAL APOLOGY
--------------
>From the desk of His Royal Highness of the Italian Court to the
non-Imperial Peoples of Agora, greetings. We deeply regret Our lapse of
form and the breaking of the Oath of the Italian Monarch. The immediate
circumstances were to aid in settling a bet over the publication of a
"newspaper" issuing from the realm of Diplonomic. This scurrilous rag
contained leaked diplomatic cables and caused some level of consternation
and snickering within the Italian Diplomatic Corps. Worse, We were
accused of being the perpetrator of the leaks, a situation We could not
countenance. Still, to reveal Our part in the matter would have (at the
time) put Us at a disadvantage of sorts, and discretion seemed like the
better part of valor. Still, there was a bet made, and in the interests
of eventual bet-settling We felt a statement should be logged as to be
revealed later.

And then, simply, time and events moved on, and everybody forgot (or
seemed to). And We fear that His Royal Highness enjoyed a little too much
wine following Eir (shared) victory, and also forgot. This was wholly Our
error, for which we feel shame and remorse. However, We have been
suitably and rightly chastised by our Russian allies in the matter, and
therefore Italy offers eir stately, formal, and official apology for such
a lapse. In order to set the matter right, show our ardent desire for
self-improvement, and set the record firmly straight, we therefore can
reveal the great and dread secret, which can be confirmed as the contents
of the hash (remove the quotes first) - and this is also a statement that
we make now, under our honor as Italians, Agorans, and under penalty of No
Faking:

"It's not me. Based on info I suspect Falsifian or English Team. -G."

I expunge 2 blots from myself.
