The backup mailing list, m...@agoranomic.groups.io, requires manual approval of new subscribers (per the webhost's policy). It's extremely simple: moderators receive an email, and either click the link or send a reply to approve.
The problem is the current moderators are me, Gaelan, and G. Of those, I'm the most active, and I'm not particularly active. So far new approvals still get caught within 24 hours, but it's definitely noticeably slower than when all three of us were active. Thus, ideally we'd add one or two currently active members to the moderation list. In my opinion, it should be someone that's been around for at least a year, and plans to stay around for at least a year, just so it's a long-term solution. Any takers? -- nix
