All:I am a VI individual and a product of the US educational system.I also had a cousin from India who did part of her schooling here in the care of a family member. She eventually returned back to India. However, I can tell you, if your son can get into school in the ninth standard, he would have a great possibility to go to university. The years, ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelvth are considered the essential years in terms of college prep years. These are the four years that admissions' officers review for a candidate's viability for higher education. The other route, of course, is to have your child apply via a TOFEL test (English-language exam for all foreign students) and SAT exam.
