As I write this email, we only need at least 821 votes of 5000. This is a
great number. Let's continue to spread the word and achieve this number
before the weekend.

Re: [Ai] Help manual for using android phone

2017-09-12 Thread Srinivasu Chakravarthula via Ai
Someone above asked why Vamshi is shifting to iPhone. While I'll let Vamshi
comment, here are my thoughts.

Off late there are great improvements in Android. Apart of great level of
accessibility, there are a lot of limitations in iPhone. Not many of their
OS featres works in India. Like Home app etc.,

Good luck Vamshi. Be sure to get a stock android.

Re: [Ai] Stickey Keys

2017-08-29 Thread Srinivasu Chakravarthula via Ai
Sticky keys are useful to those users who cannot use combination of
multiple keys at one time. For example, if you need to use CTRL+Alt+Delete
and you have a problem in your hands to use all of them together;
Activating sticky keys let you use one key at a time. It will remember
function for a few moments.

Hope this helps,

Hello Kanchan Jain,

College print vendor is willing to give you a soft copy in which case they
understand your need. Perhaps how about asking them to give you text
extracted from coral draw itself and past it into a word etc? also, educate
them about accessible publishing.

Good luck,

Re: [Ai] Denial of Banking services

2017-08-06 Thread Srinivasu Chakravarthula via Ai
People will disclose, once we are firm in our ask. In general, (I mean not
all) and specially in nationalized banks, officials would try to be rude
and assume they alone know everything. So we as customer should be firm
about our need and right. We should insist either they extend all needed
and eligible facilities or they should deny the same in writing. Perhaps we
need to put in some extra efforts to make it happen.

Re: [Ai] Denial of Banking services

2017-08-04 Thread Srinivasu Chakravarthula via Ai
I agree with George. The problem should be solved centrally. One of the
ideas could be let denial of application be handled by software and not by
authorities. So if authority clasifies a customer with disability, he/she
can be denied only if software rejects the application on any grounds than
disability. Though there is no need to classify customer as a person with
disability, I'm saying so, because sadly we still have officers who do not
know D of disability; so when such people reject application, we should
just ask - upload data to your application and let's see what it would say.
So policy gets applied into the software itself.

Re: [Ai] regarding the purchase of an accessible antivirus

2017-08-03 Thread Srinivasu Chakravarthula via Ai
I normally use in-built tools that comes with windows at home and my work
laptop is covered by enterprise tools of Norton. Whatever tool you choose
to use, if it is not accessible, can you please be able to write back to
vendor / developer? Only way to get things accessible is by providing them
feedback.

Good afternoon, Sir! Not sure about your issue with JAWS; perhaps they
would want you not to use JAWS any more and completely switch to NVDA
!

For accessibility system tray with NVDA, I found this NVDA add-on

Hope this helps,

Re: [Ai] CAPTCHA Survey

2017-06-27 Thread Srinivasu Chakravarthula via Ai
It was a embed of Survey monkey form. I realized that question number 3,
does not have associated with its label. Let me try and do something about
it. Meanwhile, here are the questions and folks may send answers by email
as well to me directly at li...@srinivasu.org

1. Name of the website
2. URL of the website
3. Does CAPTCHA have an alternative?
4. If there is an alternative, what would that be and your experience.

Thanks for bringing it to my notice.

solutions. I would like you to fill up this short survey form with websites
you use frequently and require you to deal with CAPTCHA. One of the

They may have online application. Try that. Secondly, tell the store
managers clearly why you would not want to purchase from their store just
because discrimination of their finance partner.
Be sure to let the Bajaj know and if they don't respond, let the whole
world know. We should start writing in their review on public forums.
People should notice it.
