Just my opinion about the problem:
The fat filesystem has many limitations and I vote for dropping special
support for it in VDR because if someone wants to use a windows system,
he/she can use ntfs which works fine in current distributions (ntfs-3g).

because at-spi2 need a lot of testing and not all users want to build
it from source.
BTW.: Do we have a big improovement of a11y in gnome 2.30 compared to
gnome 2.28?

vdr.
I don't know if this can be done by a plugin but the current solution is
difficult for endusers.
Setting a diseqc.conf needs some knowledge in diseqc and it's commands.

2. this isn't accessibility related but it would be nice to have

some days ago you wrote that you are using gnomespeech.
This is the reason why pulseaudio blocks orca.
Pulseaudio opens the hw0,0 alsa device so no other alsa application can
work.
This happens only to useless soundcards without hardwaremixing!!!
You can try speechd and select it's pulse o

Thanks but I can't test this because I can't run opensolaris.
Opensolaris didn't recognize my audio card so was not able to check.

screenreader orca can't read anything.
The unlock dialogue is inaccessible as well.
The Problem is afaik the result of wrong use of gnome-keyring.

The problem, is that opensuse distro ships a broken version and i was
not able
to figure out what the Problem is.
Orca says allways inaccessible after starting firefox.
Do I need to change something in gtkmodules?

No I have tested speakup and used the highlight tracking mode.
Sorry this is nice but not working correctly when two highlights are
used.
speakup can't read the menu in mc correctly.
in alsamixer it reads
not only the highlighted mixer.
Guys have a lookup to sbl.

Installation was done under ubuntu karmic because of newer gnome
