I think the fact that they have such a small footprint makes them useful for all sorts of things. I have variety of mini computers to use that term to describe small computing devices. The most powerful would probably have to still be the 2012 Mac Mini with was ahead of its time. I have several Raspberry Pi and Beagle Boards along with a couple of Banana Pi’s.
