Hi, Nah the 57 is but not the 58. It's only Cardioid not super.

If you want to start out cheap get yourself a EV RE635A omni on ebay. One mic will do the job well you do not need 4 of them. With 4 mics you also would need to purchase a mixer. Find a powered speaker of decent quality that has a mic level xlr input. A condenser multi pattern mic would be nice but you can upgrade to it when you can afford it.
