Hm than maybe even the Olympus LS-P2 would do. Note it's a little mini me recorder. Only uses 1 triple A but it's totally for that. Yes there's the consumer DM-7 which again a little mini me but it's part of the DM-series which apparently though they can record up to DVD quality they are
