Navigator now shows no headings at all, although file was formatted with level 1, level 2, and level 3 headings throughout. To format headings to appear in Navigator: alt+O → A / Outline & Numbering / set Outline Level to Level 1, etc. Save text file in .doc format. (Select 'keep current format'.) Open the .doc file in Writer. All the headings are gone, i.e. the Navigator shows “0 Headings” on mouseover. Opening the file in MS Word, the headings appear in the 'document map', but they're all top level, whereas they were formatted as levels 1, 2, and 3. Saving as .odt and reopening preserves the headings in the Navigator. This appears to relate to Issue 49037. I hope these points help.
