Hello,

time passed and I am still convinced this could be a good feature.
The missing outbox is a non-issue if the user is aware of this or if it is
possible to send the mail automatically CC to his mailbox. The user will find
the outgoing mail in the inbox instead of the outbox, but filters can move the
mail to the right place.

Hello,

with writer we create forms and export them as PDF to, We then merge them with
xfdf files at printing. In certain situation it is necessary to have the same
field twice in a form or on different page. This does not work with ooo because
when the pdf is created it attaches a _x (where x is a number generated by ooo)
to the fieldname. When acrobat reader merges the xfdf with the pdf this fields
remain empty.

It should be possible to select as option to export fields that have the same
name without the extension.

Thanks

Hello,

I created a text field, set the border type to flat ( flach ), set the font and
other properties. Then I changed the fieldtype to formated field. The font
setting remained the same but the border type changed to 3D.

IMHO when a attribute was changed by the user it should, if possible, remain the
same after changing the field type.

Happy New Year

with Acc2000 it works. As I wrote it does not work with Access97, even when I
choose Microsoft Excel 95 as format. Maybe this is a access 97 only
compatibility problem.

Hello,

- select a Textfield in design mode
- open the properties
- press the button to change the font
- select another font and [OK]
- the name of the new font is not shown in the properties

you have to press the mouse in the doc outside the textfield and then reselect
the textfield to see the fontname appear. The font size is never shown.

Hello,

IMAP:
the mail could simply be store in the draft folder.
The user can then open this mail, add the body and send it from the webmail
client. No interaction and needed in openoffice

SMTP/POP3:
Send the mail to the users mailbox so the user can forward it from his mailbox.
No interaction and needed in openoffice.

Advantages for the user is that instead of this steps:
save, change to the client, create new mail, open the file attach dialog and
search the file in the directory giungle. Send

the user performs this steps:
Prepare for mailing ( better the send to ), change to the mail client
IMAP: open the mail in the draft folder ( no need to search on the filesystem
).Send
POP3: open the mail in the inbox , forward it

IMHO this is much more comfortable

Thanks
Andreas

Hello,

When users of webmail systems want to send a document via mail they have to save
the document, change to the webmail, upload the document and send.

According to the apo documentation
http://api.openoffice.org/docs/common/ref/com/sun/star/mail/module-ix.html
It should be possible to send document via SMTP directly from OOo without
client. There is no need for a full mail application, only a send window.

Thanks

Hello,

with msi parameters for the unattended install it is possible to select if
openoffice becomes the defaultapplication for doc, xls and ppt files.

In a mixed environment this is a problem. On PCs with MS office installed OOo
should not become default app ( sorry : ) on PCs without MS office it should
become default app.

Proposal: add option 3 ( yes if not MS office component already installed
to SELECT_WORD, SELECT_EXCEL, SELECT_POWERPOINT

Thanks

When I open word documents with ooo there is a problem with indentation.
The lines with the text one/one two/two three / three should all begin at the
same position.

Thanks
Andreas

Hello,

we have two simple documents that look very different in ooo from what they look
in word 97.
The first notaoper has the image in the wrond position ( I attach the PDF
generetade from word too )

The second postlauream has three pages instead of two. After the first page
there is a empty page.

Thanks
Andreas

Hello,

in the mailing list assistant in Writer in the german translation of the
single fields for the address is wrong

Addresszeile 1 and 2 have a D to much. In german Adresse is written with one d
This is a problem because this names are use to access database fields.

Thanks
Andreas

Hello,

I continue to have the same formatting problem with 2.0
Maybe there is a configuration option for this behaviour, isn't it ?

Bye

Since 1.9.118 the backspace and cursor keys does no more work.
The only way to move in the document is with the mouse.

Hello,

I create fields ( Form control ) and then export the document as pdf.
When I open the pdf with acrobat 6 the field are all there and I can type into
this fields but the font size seem always to be 8.5 independent of the size I
did set for the form control.

Bye
Andreas
