Then i inserted a number of invalid elements, introduced a typo and finally deleted the entire script.xlb. The fix is in such a way that there is no warning whatsoever unless the script.xlb is missing entirely (Error loading BASIC of document...). No crash. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. OOo will crash. Proper behaviour would be an error message that the library is missing. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. As StarOffice doesn't contain FontOOo.xba anyway I removed another xba file in the Launcher lib. This should have the same effect. Maybe you can also test this on a new version? For now I set this issue to WORKSFORME. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=79156 Issue #|79156 Summary|Segfault iterating through XBrowseNodes when Basic lib |rary is missing Component|framework Version|OOo 2.2.1 Platform|All URL| OS/Version|All Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|DEFECT Priority|P3 Subcomponent|scripting Assigned to|npower Reported by|mux2005 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Jul 3 13:47:17 + 2007 --- Steps to reproduce (under Linux, assuming installation in /opt/openoffice.org2.2): 1. rm /opt/openoffice.org2.2/share/basic/Launcher/FontOOo.xba 2. Run the Main-macro in the attached document 3. OOo crashes because of a NULL-pointer dereference in browsenodefactory::DefaultBrowseNode::getName(). See attached backtrace. Background info: As stated in issue 79153 an OOo built with the configure switch --disable-fontooo, will cause exactly the above situation, where FontOOo.xba is missing, but the library is still listed in Launcher/script.xlb. So you don't have to do stupid things such as the above manual deletion to trigger this bug. It will affect anyone who uses an OOo built with --disable-fontooo. Please do not take this bug (or similar bugs) lightly, because it's caused by a faulty configuration file. Had I not found the reason for this bug, our organization would probably have postponed upgrading all of our Linux desktops to OOo 2.2+. Errors in configuration files must not ever cause OOo to crash with no indication what's the problem. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
