To the ALSA tree maintainers:
I have uploaded a patch which moves the current Aureal driver into the
alsa-kernel/ directory. Please apply it, because many people are waiting
for it since a long time, and the driver is working stable. I really
need this to be done, please.

i compiled the example code to capture data in
"A Tutorial on Using the ALSA Audio API".
It works fine as it is.
I then put everything except "readi()" into an
init() function and just "readi()" into a capture()
function.
When i now call init() once and capture() several

Yes, hdspmixer does all the right things with the extra channels.
