HOWEVER,
I noticed your LSMOD.
If you would, you might try looking at this:
cd /proc
cat interrupts
I believe there is a good chance you may find your USB and your 3c5x9
and your sound card all on the same IRQ.
Not that this *should* be a problem, but
I, and most of the people I know with new machines
have the via686.
Everyone seems to have issues.
I can code and debug.
I am not, however, familiar with coding any alsa driver stuff.
I am offering my machine and some of my time for finding
