it's compatible with intel8x0 driver, and the cvs version already
includes the support for the chip.

Hello
Most sound cards now are Plug-n-Play either ISA or PCI.
So at boot up, one should be able to determine which devices are installed
and automatically load the correct driver based on the PnP info.
I think this would be very useful to have, because then people would not
have to know which sou

Hi All!
My cmedia 8378-MC6 only captures silence when doing 16 bits samples from
both line-in and aux with current (2/10) CVS. 8 bits capture seems to
work, but is very noisy.
In addition, during playback using aplay, I hear the last part of a
wav-file twice.

No, both of those are actually ok, I'm not religious about big things l
I am pretty sure that Linus will not want to be copied on all these emails.
The result is likely to be that he reads none of them.
I don't think that at this stage we should be talking to Linus Torvalds at
all. He is probably too busy.

You think too much

Hi all!
I have an Dell Inspiron 8K and my question is whether the current
Maestro M3 chip is fully supported or does it currently only furnish
SB16 compatibility mode (I might be talking nonsense here, but this is
what I heard a while ago, or something like it and my understanding is
that the cur
I'm the guy with the Shark Predator ISA card, AD1816a-based.
It works with 0.5 and doesn't work with 0.9, and nobody's been able to help
me so far...
In fact, has anyone been working on any AD1816a-based card at all? Is this
just a chipset that nobody has?
