Is it correct that an app should have to snd_seq_drop_input_buffer() every
so often when reading events in via snd_seq_event_input()?
If I don't drop the input buffer periodically then the input buffer appears

Hi. I was trying to usekernel 2.5.x (7-9) and alsa either the one in
the kernel tree or beta12, and whenever snd-timer module is to be
removed, I get unable to handle kernel paging exception ... and the
system crashes.
I am using a via8233 sound card.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

supporting this archaic and limiting API.

I tried to compile alsa-oss 0.9.0rc1 and got errors because it could not find
