Hi, as far as i understand it, the copy plugin does nothing but copy its
input to its output. I wonder if it would be easily possible to extend
this plugin to copy to multiple slave pcms. This way it would be
(easily?) possible to distribute a stereo signal to 4 or even 6
channels.
Any thoughts?
Hi,
i tried the pcm test program from the alsa-lib test program and it fails
for quite a few transfer modes... Before i go into details on that i
have to say that everything else i use alsa for works very nicely:
playing music via xmms' alsa plugin; watching movies with mplayer and
the alsa9

Interestig that you mention that. I have found that with mplayer, the
behaviour is different for sound files and video playback.

This is exacly my point. The fact that dmix and dsnoop are

Hi,
i was playing around with alsa-lib's LADSPA plugin and found no way of
controlling the plugins' parameters at runtime..
So, i wonder if alsa-lib has hooks to alter the configuration of pcm
plugins in general at runtime?

Hi Patrick. I saw your changes to the doc page and have one or two
remarks:
1.] The layout is a litle bit messed up here. The black line goes
through Supported Soundcards and Userspace Tools. If i use a smaller
font, it's ok. so i don't know, if it's a mozilla thing [Mozilla Debian
Package
this would be the right thing [tm].
Maybe it would also be possible to set dmix's parameters to more
compatible settings.. Maybe it even is with .asoundrc-magic..
I also don't know how good OSS emu can be used in conjunction with dmix.
Florian Schmidt
.
If it is any help i can try making a recording of the sound..
