2. Alsamixer shows obscure names
You could rename it in alsa-driver/alsa-kernel/pci/emu10k1/emufx.c
and send patch here.
I dislike patches, but I include one below if you insist.
Just don't apply the patch to the latest Alsa, because I have
alsa-driver-1.0.0pre3.
Hello. The case is closed!
Both LiveDrive MIDI and InfraRed remote started working by
following change in modules.conf:
old: enable_ir
new: enable_ir=1
Now that I know it the fix seems to be obvious, but in my mail
archives both versions are used.
The Alsa documentation, of course, could be

Now we should look at why LiveDrive midi-in does not work.
As far as I remeber it worked half a year ago.. no?

But, could those names appearing in Alsamixer be changed
Hello. Good news: LiveDrive line-in2 capture is working!
Earlier I could record only via AC97 Capture which apparently
is the wrong way.
As instructed by Peter Zubaj I changed

in the following way (with 1.0.0pre3 driver):

Hello. What is the latest status of Creative/emu10k1 support?
I have Alsa driver where the LiveDrive Line-In2 (Line LiveDrive 1)
on capture bus does not work. We checked the case with Alsa developers
but the problem remained. A quick look at the Alsa-Devel archives
reveals that others have had

I posted this to alsa-user as well if there are people who has

Hello. There is something odd going on with emu10k/SB Live driver.
I have drivers version 0.90rc1.
First, the capture faders and switches seems to not work as
one could figure out by reading the SB-Live-mixer.txt.
Second, after unintuitively capturing the Drive/line-in2, the

Can somebody put a html/attachment etc. filter for this list?
Similar to what is being added to linux-audio-dev. It should
remove the spams.

Sure everyone wants to read the news and the latest development
but it doesn't have to be in the front page. A short latest releases:

Hello. I found out that the current www.alsa-project.org pages
