Good day gents, i have realy obviouse problem with sound,
1. I can't record sound in audacity and can't use skype for communication
because it not capture my voice.
2. The biggest issue in games under wine,(i've try a lot) sound very distorted.

anyone out there with an Audigy 2 ZS that has a working Midi In via the Live
Drive/front panel jack? If so, please tell me your system specs, ALSA

I built a MythTV front end based around a J7F2WE1G2E motherboard, and
then later swapped to a EN12000EG motherboard. The former uses a VT1617A
chip for audio. The later uses VT1618. With the VT1617A based board
SPDIF worked perfectly, but with the VT1618 based board I get nothing
from SPDIF.

You need build-essential and alsa-source. Install them using:
aptitude install alsa-source build-essential
as it will install the recommendations too.
