[Alsa-user] No sound with beta 10 (I have unmuted all channels)

Hi. I was using 0.9.0 beta 8 before, and it worked fine. I now installed beta 10, and things seemed to work okay. I killed all previous modules, installed it all. I had some problems when I tried to do alsactl restore 0 (some version mismatch stuff!?), and unmuted and restored all channels

And now it works. ALSA is really confusing. I don't know why I use it... MIDI is piss-poor, having to recompile for every kernel upgrade is a pain... I guess part of this is the kernel people's fault. ___ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hi. Using alsa 0.9.0 beta 7. I can't record using regular tools. I'm forced to use arecord, which isn't fun. What I'm having problems with is enabling record for Master or PCM... when I try to enable it in alsamixer nothing happens. I press Space when having the Master, PCM or Wave channel
