Hi,
I've got a Intel D945GCLF2 with Intel HD Audio (ALC662, Realtek).
I am running gentoo (x86) and have installed alsa-1.0.21. Updating alsa
to 1.0.22 doesn't help either.
After upgrading from linux-2.6.30 to .32 sound recording doesn't work

Dear ALSA users,
please tell me if I should open a ticket for this issue in the ALSA
bugtracking system.
Using PulseAudio (PA) playing sound works without problems but running a
program accessing the microphone (`gnome-volume-control`, `empathy`
doing voice calls, …) causes high CPU loads of
*Dear Alsa Team!*
My name is Christoph Pittamitz and like Pandu P. Rakimanputra I just bought
the new Focusrite Saffire 6 USB device.
The same problem occurred to me: The light indicator for connecting via usb

I am having a problem with HDMI audio on a Gigabyte H55M-S2H

if someone ask me to send again :)
Hi Christoph,

Hello,
I have a Thinkpad R61i with the Conexant CX20549 HDA codec. A lot of the
controls are wrongly wired, with showstopping consequences, such as not
being able to change the mic capture level, resulting in intolerable
distortion.
To get round this I rolled my own kernel with hwdep enabled and
Hello,
is it possible to define virtual sound card, which would be listed by
aplay -l and aplay -L ? And how ?
Most apps do NOT let me define concrete PCM device to use and some apps
are using direct hw:x,y - so workaround with different default per
app don't help too.
Thanks for help.
