Only quirk is that left and right channels were swapped -- easy enough
to fix in hardware (audio source here uses RCA jacks, so just swap them
over).
I don't see anything obvious in `alsamixer`, and so far my searches on
the topic have turned up nought. What voodoo is PulseAudio doing to
e name=t ! queue ! audioconvert ! mux.

Unless those messages are generated by `pulseaudio.ko` I think we can
safely conclude these are in fact, ALSA kernel driver messages.

some educational value to re-inventing the wheel, it looks like
someone's done the work for you: `mpd` itself can act as that back-end
service, and there are already web-based front-ends to talk to it.

not in my neck of the woods (NW Brisbane). You'd never
hear E.T. over the top of 1 el cheapo switch-mode wall warts, solar
inverters, traffic lights and plasma television sets. VHF can be noisy
too being so close to Mt. Coot-tha: I've accidentally tuned into ABC
Classic FM with a pl
p PipeWire, so it may be starting to
replace PulseAudio already.
