It depends on which files on the disk you mean. If you mean the holding
disk, that's trivial since taper is reading it to write to the tape.
If you mean the files back on the client, that's hopeless. The

file. It's been updated to show the new syntax.
As a security rule of thumb, I'd suggest one to create a specific user
for back-up purpose. And avoid using the administrator account.

No, but I certainly grep them a lot :-). Our users have a tendency
to not be, shall we say, accurate when they list file names they need
... I understand the
concepts of how Amanda works and what takes place when it is working
properly, however, I simply don't know how to get started. ...
