I had posted this before but never got a good resolution as to what's

After resolving my earlier problems, I've uncovered a new one. Amanda is
timeing out, apparently while waiting for estimates on one of my hosts.
I think I can fix this by bumping the timeout value, but thought I would

Hi all,
How do I configure Amanda 2.4.3 to backup to a directory or file on
the hard drive? I have looked though the documentation, and I have
searched the amanda-users archive, but I can't find any documentation on
this. Would someone clue me in please?
Sincerely,

Has anyone had to back up with amanda using different subnets, different domains? I'm
getting errors, and I realize it's not amanda's problem...but I was wondering if

/tmp/amanda on the client, so clearly the
Entry for backup server in client /etc/hosts fixed the problem...I had a brain
