Sorry, searched the amanda_users searchable archived but didn't
see anything on this.
We see messages like amrestore: gzip, restore ok, trailing garbage ingored
and have always assumed it resulted from DD writing trailing garbage at
the end of the last (fixed length)

I thought Config (as discussed in chg-scsi and chg-multi) was only referenced there,
but apparently
I discovered that putting a tapedev 1 in my amanda.conf actually pulls it from the 2nd
tape drive (andthe FIRST configuration MUST (I think)
I've made glacial progress. I decided that since amcheck is STILL giving me errors
about the scsi config file I'm using (here's a snippet), I'd go and try amlabel and
see what happens.

tapedev 0
