Finally doing the backups. This is my first run and it's on a client. I'm having

Just an update about this...I determined that the compression can be
turned off through the menu of the tape
Check the debug files in /tmp/amanda and see what is happening on the
client side. If it isn't erroring out, check to see how long the planner
is taking and extend it in your configuration to allow that much time.
