Thank you for the reply,
I'm using amtapetype for 3 days now to have the right info, I'll post on
the amanda tapetype list
If you would have given a reasonable estimate amtapetype -e 400g then
it would take about 6-8 hours, instead of three days. Read the man page.

when I execute the label
command the second time with same parameters, labeling works.
labeling works, but I often have problems with the

sorry cant reproduce the error at the moment, because the tape in the
last slot is in use.
amanda.conf:
dumpcycle 1 weeks
runspercycle 7
tapecycle 8 tapes
amdump is called once each day via cron.
the strange thing is that I some days ago had a tapecycle of only 6,
and I also hat problems
I updated the SRPMS/SPECS on my website for anyone interested in upgrading
to the latest 2.4.5p1.

ERROR: zena.tonservices.com: [host godzilla.tonservices.com: port 10129 \
not secure]

all have solved before. What's your preferred solution? I can think
of a couple of alternatives, such as:
I have not seen any answer but I'd try to use IP address in disklist
file...
