Hi Matthew there is afbackup that will allow you to span tapes. afbackup.sourceforge.net As for support, its woeful, the mailing list is pretty dead and support via the author is non-existant. I am currently running amanda alongside afbackup, till one day I figure how afbackup works properly.

Hi Can anyone tell me about the backup and recovery system burt. has anyone used it. It seems to backup across multiple tapes, but it seems not as well designed as amanda, seems a lot os tcl scripting is required before it will work. Also does anyone know if it will handle autoloaders. regards
