Loss of tape labels

I had a condition for the last few days where a DLE was too large to fit on a tape. The system thought it was OK and tried to write it as my tapetype settings was slightly larger than the actual tape. I am not sure if this is a coincidence or not but the next few days the tapes that it had

It would appear I have my tape size set to be slightly larger than the tape really is (HP DAT24x6 changer). The issue I have now is a dump failed for a large DLE and is sitting on disk, this dump is just slightly larger than the tape so most likely putting in another tape and flushing it
