Due to machine limitation (kernel and software) we can't use the last vers 2.6.1
So we installed 2.5.1 works like a charm but now first operational problem:
We must issue prearhive command like rcapplication stop. After 2 days read of
pre and post scripts are 2.6.1 features, it's not available in 2.5.1.

Anyway I'v moved the tested backup server to another SLES 9 but have problem
with rpm install of needed tar =1.15.
I'll try with forced install of Amanda server and also be reported here.

One more thing - if I install anyway 2.6.1 this pre/post script MUST be on
client or COULD be on backup server?
One of target application is ERP so if I tried to stop it I must to exec it
like super user for ERP wich is not existing on backup server.
How I need to proceed ?

It's another script-tool definition. This is Amanda's configuration
inheritance. Search for that term in amanda.conf(5) for more info.
