Both machines - backup server and client are linux boxes.
Client machine tar (GNU tar) is version 1.13.19.
Error message amrestore gives indicates OS-level problem but as I told
in previos message I am able to restore stuff

If I got it right amanda reads through tape trying to find right file
and then finds problem with its own headers
