Isn't /usr/bin/mail usally lowercase? It depends on the OS. I have both (on Solaris). The lower case version does not support the -s (Subject) option. The capitalized one (a.k.a. mailx), does. But that has nothing to do with why the input file was missing. Joi Ellis John R. Jackson,
