I'd put this in the faq-o-matic, but it seems to not allow new entries right now. define tapetype Ultrium3 { length 414386 mbytes filemark1889 kbytes speed 10881 kps } The length seems a little long for a 400/800 gig tape, but maybe the marketing is honest.

Hi! I'am a newbee in using amanda. I have configured one machine als server and client to backup this one. I followed the instructions described on www.amanda.org. I'm using debian ubuntu (breezy badger) with linux kernel 2.6.12-9. amcheck runs well.

Hi, I know the docs say to turn hardware compression off before running amtapetype, unfortunately I've found no info on how to disable hw compression on a Dell PowerVault 122T LTO2 library. How bad is this result ? ---
