DailySet1. And I just ordered 10 more (new) tapes, but I'm not clear as to
when do I pull out tapes and put in the new ones???
I currently have these dump

Hi all,
today I tried to restore a couple of files, but amrecover failed to
connect to the index server (I believe). This is on my server PC fiume:
fiume:~ # amrecover -s fiume
AMRECOVER Version 2.5.2p1. Contacting server on fiume ...
[request failed: timeout waiting for ACK]
Backups work

Run amcheck and have a look for errors.
Has this anything to do with the 3 files in the xinet.d directory
amanda, amandaidx, amidxtape?
It was a broken SCSI cable that came with the autoloader. I took a different
one and now it's fun:
# dd if=/dev/zero bs=65536 count=81920 of=/dev/nst0
81920+0 Datensätze ein
81920+0 Datensätze aus
5368709120 Bytes (5,4 GB) kopiert, 52,5265 s, 102 MB/s
:-)
Regards
Marc
