Fuji is the only tape manufacturer making tape today". I think the format he was talking about was LTO. Whether my memory is accurate, he was accurate, or if the claim is still accurate today, I have no clue. -- Jon H. Just to toss my $.02 in, we've been using Maxell media for the past 8 months (LTO3 media), and haven't had any problems. -- Graeme Humphries ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) (306) 955-7075 ext. 485 My views are not the views of my employers.

I have used Fuji LTO1 for about 3.5 years, and lost one tape due to the drive EATING it. It killed the drive, HP wanted $3,500 for a replacement with only a 90 day warranty, so I opted to buy a new LTO2 drive from Certance/Quantum (whatever they are this week) and Certance Media. I've gone through 1 pass on about 10 tapes and so far so good. Matt -- Matt Hyclak Department of Mathematics Department of Social Work Ohio University (740) 593-1263

I've no experience with LTO2, but the vendor I bought my LTO3 unit from recommended Fujifilm media, and I've had no problems at all with the tapes.
