I suspect that I'm running into RBL timeouts within SA.
What should I look for in the amavisd debug-sa output?
I'm seeing lots of those:

As I replied to the list, it was my fault, for simply copying and

Hi.
It appears as if the anti-virus program is always called before
SpamAssassin. Is that in fact correct? If so, is there a means to
change the order (e.g., to call SA first, then only call AV if the

I'm stuck with an old version of Postfix (1.1.3). I believe amavisd is

I wish to have amavis discard all messages where the Postfix log says:
Hi, everybody, I was wondering if it would be possible to send a
rejection notice based on the content of the message (we're rejecting
mp3's, avi's, and every multimedia format here). Since amavis is the
one doing the trick, I figured out it should be amavis the one doing
the notify.

I'm currently running our mail server on a Mac, which greeted me this

Hi, people, lately I've been seeing several mails originating at my

Hi, list, I've detected this issue in the past days.
I have a server built upon Debian Sarge, with Amavisd-new 2.5.2,
Postfix 2.1.5-9, and SA 3.2.3. Postfix has been patched so it can
serve multiple virtual domains.
Amavis is called every time a new mail arrives, and it performs AV
scanning

Hi, I have a question. I run Debian Sarge, Postfix, Amavisd-new 2.5.2,

HI, Justin. Which setting do you have enabled on SA? (assuming you
check spam against SpamAssassin). Try disabling RBL checks, Pyzor,

services is sluggishing down the amavis instance...

Hi, I've been looking aroud for info about how to integrate dkimproxy

The trick (at least for me, and I'm running Postfix), is to tell your
SASL authenticated users to use a different port, like 465 or 587. In
fact, port 25 was nominated to be a server-to-server mail exchange
service. Clients should use Submission or smtps port. I'm re-routing
traffic from my client

This could help me with an issue which showed off when I recently

Hi, list, my Amavis-SA tamdem seems to be missing the URIDNSBL plugin from SA.
If I run a mail with a link included in the URIDNSBL blacklist through

score of 2.0. But if I pass the mail through Postfix-Amavis-SA, the

In fact, I'm logging through syslogd. so, should I remove the amavis

I guess that the startup script isn't newer enough as to make amavis

with Debian Sarge.

Hi, list, I've got a recurrent problem, and I think I've been able to track
it down to its cause, but I would like to have some opinions from more

Every sunday AMAVIS dies, and a lot of mail gets queued until I restart the
service. It appears to happen when some cron jobs run.
