Sadly I don't see many second-hand IC-190H here if at all.
If anyone in Europe has an IC-910H to sell please let me know, only really
interested in 2m / 70cms.

Hello list,
What measure would you recommend to avoid statics building up on helix
antennas?

I have 2 ELK antennas here, and I would like to do an experiment with

Hi Jean, VA2SS
Since the ELK antenna is a log-periodic antenna covering a wide
band from 2 meters and 70 cm it is difficult to connect 2 ELK in
phase and gain 3 dB in 2 meters and 70 cm as well.
Also it is difficult to connect 2 ELK
Hi Allen,
If you have both Rx and Tx on the same band, then both directions will be using
the same RF connector on the rig. I suppose if you are REALLY careful you can
put an antenna switch between them, but you need to make really sure you don't
transmit into the back of your downconverter.

Hi Greg,
Guess I'll feed the downconverter into my FT-817ND and see if I can get things
going that way with SATPC controlling doppler on both rigs..
Many thanks!

I use a Kenwood ts 2000x for for v/s mode but think you can do it on
your Yaesu ft 736 the same way I do here.
I run the SSB 2.4 down converter with 2 meter output down the coax
into the shack.
Then the cable goes into a Hamtronics 2m to 10m downconverter.
Then the now 10m signal goes into
Has anyone had any luck receiving SEEDS II? I have had two good passes and
haven't received so much as a peep.

As a matter of fact, I got a decent sstv picture this morning. Yesterday, all
I could hear was a cw signal.

Being a noobie on satellites, what is SEEDS II ? I dont see it listed in any of
my keps I have. Does it have another name? Just curious..

SEEDS II (CO-66) is a Japanese cubesat that transmits a sstv picture and
also has a digi talker that transmits a secret code that enables you to get a
QSL card from the group that built it. Hope this helps.

Something strange with Space-Track.
The keps put here this morning were for 8th at a few minutes past zero hour.
The keps on Space-Track now are for the 7th at aprox 1800Z.

That should work, though being on the same band for Tx and Rx (after
conversion) may still net you some interference. Keep the rigs separated and
you might get away with it.
I don't have automatic doppler correction on my 13cm receive side right now.
The receiver is an ICOM IC-R7000, which
