When I was at MGU (Moscow state university) in May this year I heard that
because of the controversy over the use in the Amateur band of the multiplex
system Doka on Yubileiny, they had decided not to use an amateur band on this
bird. Doka is a system used by Russian universities, originating
D-Star frequencies in the Netherlands.
Abraham van den Berg, PB0AOK - VERON's VHF manager, clarified the
D-Star issue in the Netherlands. VERON is the Dutch IARU society.
It is untrue that the Dutch administration is thinking about
D-Star repeaters operating in the 437-438 MHz band.
Presently,
Just copied a cw telemetry signal centred on 435.365MHz here in UK.
AOS around 09.12utc as a continuous carrier.
At approx 09.14utc cw telemetry started until LOS at 09.20utc.
Telemetry appears to consist of alpha / numeric blocks of 7 characters.

Hi Dom,
Correct. There are a couple of selectable modulation modes like M.C. TLM
etc. But it can never be activated. I have copies of the FCC paperwork where
they denied the request.
