Can someone direct me to the location of the Doppler.SQF file in V8?
I cannot find the file in the SatPC32V8 directory.
In fact I cannot find any of the SQF files that are plentiful in V7.
I wanted to add the freqs for DO64 and SO67 and cannot seem to pull it off
Thanks in advance

Very nice to hear. I do apologize for my earlier characterization of a

Hi Peter,
I can indeed confirm that Oscar News no 187 does include a good number of
captioned fotos of P3E and her current location and environment.
ON187 is due to be sent to AMSAT-UK members within the next 10 days.
It is possible to join AMSAT-UK using our online application form which can

Hi Michael and Alan,
I can only repeat what Alan already said...
Work on P3-E is continuing and we are busy looking for launch
possibilities and other ways for financing it, i.e. on coat-tails of the
P5 Mars Mission.
This is our top priority at the moment and that's why you may not have
heard so
I appreciate the answer Alan. I wasn't hearing anything about it and
that does get discouraging. It would indeed be tragic for it never to
see space after all the work that was put into it.
As I said, I do support the AMSAT NA board in what they are now trying
to do. I think we should take any o

What "pain in the butt factor"?
Remove the rear element, fit the ballast, refit the rear element.
If the elements are not removable from the boom and the beam isn't already
reasonably balanced then perhaps it was a
lousy choice of antenna.

Inside the boom is a great idea but unfortunately I think it would be a bit
difficult as the rearmost reflector is only 1 inch from the end of the boom
and it goes right through the boom.
It could be done but I don't think the wind loading reduction would out

As a practical matter, I'd use the fishing weights tucked in as close to
the boom as possible to keep the additional wind load down. In fact if
the boom is hollow, you could stick the weights inside and not increase
the wind load at all. As long as the metallic counterbalance is not

I have two yagis that I need to mount a little off center and wanted to put
a little weight on the back of the antenna as a counter balance.
Assuming the counterbalance will need to go in front of the rearmost
reflector, does it matter if the counter balance is metallic (i.e. some

Hi,
My Java source is a port of the original Predic C source and I honored
the GPLv2 that John Magliacane used for that.
It's been changed since then to increase performance when doing
predictions for multiple sats over a one day schedule, for multiple
gound-stations, as we need in Genso.

Ok, I should have looked for IARU links a lot earlier. Even in S21 we had a
lot of help, interaction for amateur radio service by the IARU, and without
them the Bangladesh Amateur Radio League (any amsat folks also BARL members,
I am also S21X) could not have opened up the ham radio license process

Michael,
AMSAT-DL, with the occasional support of other AMSAT organizations, is still
working on getting it launched. I expect that it will find a ride, probably
unexpectedly, as is often the case. It would be a tragedy to someday find
the launch article in a museum somewhere. However, it is cl
