Hi all, does anyone have a 2M or 70cm mast-mounted pre-amp for
sale? Let me know what you have, condition, price, etc.
I'm considering adding pre-amps to a portable Az/El satellite station I'm

Thanks!

Kevin,
I first worked Al in May 1978 on RS-12. He was my 85th contact and I believe
he was just starting out as well. Neither of us had good V/UHF rigs at the
time, so HF satellite was the way to go. Seems like yesterday...

The ARRL is wisely recommending that we do NOT send letters directly to our

To be most effective, we are sending signed letters/faxes to our ARRL lobbyist,
Hi All,
The power budget on AO-51 has really been stretched with both transmitters on,
so we are now in single transmitter mode. That means quite a bit more power on
435.300 (the voice repeater), which is now around 1.3W or so. We'll be in this
mode for a while (until further notice).

Andrew,
The System gets it's position from the GPS satellites and reports it to it's
network via the Globestar Constellation. SPOT is a subsidiary of Globestar:

Maybe it was KD7QAS I heard ... that's an IRLP node in Middleton, ID,

This information has been disseminated by the ARRL, AMSAT, and other amateur

introduced with the aim of expanding Public Service communications.
However, this bill uniquely proposes to transfer the 420-44

Hi Everyone,
I just thought I'd relay a bit of QRM I observed on AO-51 on this
morning's 3/16/2011 1322z pass. The bird was totally quiet (just a
nice carrier) for the first 5 minutes of the pass, but then it sounded
like a repeater was getting into the sat uplink:

I'll still be in DL41 on the next FO29 pass at 16/1112Z. But we should
