John,
This was on their QRZ page.
Today we have received the information from Harbor Master officer, that all
navigation is closed, by bad weather, in Tuxpan, and inclusive in Tamiahua,

The DX Cluster has a spot for XF2P saying that
the operation was cancelled due to bad weather.
Can anyone provide any information about this?

AO27 was nice this afternoon also. A couple of Mexician stations on (one in

I'm often on the early morning passes of SO-50 and there are many times that

We will only be on one, MAYBE two of the JOTA frequencies at a time.
There are going to be around 200 scouts, not 400-500.

Y'all might want to listen for some /MM stations in the Gulf on the FM birds
starting today. Go easy on them, as they are new to satellite, and operating
with omnis most likely. Their route is St.Pete to Cancun, and back. I'm not
sure of their calls, so just keep an ear out.

Duh!! I bought mine with the duplexor installed so it had the foam
handle on the end of the boom. That's why I didn't see it. Pulled the

Hi John,
The Arrow actually come predrilled with 1/4" holes on all four sides. This
should fit all standard tripods. To switch polarization using a tripod, you
will need to have a tripod that not only enables you to move the antenna (or
camera) forward and backward (up/down) as most tripods d
There should already be a 1/4-20 threaded hole in the Arrow boom for tripod
mounting. Most (better) camera tripod top plates can be "tipped" up from
horizontal to vertical, and that's how you change the polarity of the Arrow,
same as you would by rotating the boom if you were hand-holding it.
OK, I finally received the ARROW satellite antenna. I believe I have all
necessary to make AO-51 contacts (any maybe SO-50) while I am camping in
the Motorhome. I have a Yaesu FT-470 with Speaker Mic, the Arrow antenna
and I approprated the camera tri-pod from my bride. Not going to worry

Hi Greg,
Sorry to say this, but your analogy to "just another component"
is plain wrong. The vocoder cannot be replaced by another generic
component as far as I can ascertain. I cant' even find the algorithms
that would allow me to program a DSPIC or fpga at home in my meager lab
