I am at a hamfest this weekend where there is a FT726R for sale in decent
condition. It has the stock 2m module, and the HF (15, 12, 10M0 as well as a
tone encoder (with dip switches) installed. The UHF module was pulled from it,
and the owner didn't know if it has the satellite board or not,
Made my own - PowerPoint (or OpenOffice), print on card stock and cut down to
size.
Only one-sided, however, but I usually use the back for a personal note about
my equipment, the contact, or whatever.

Jim,
Thanks for getting on the air, Though it looks like the counties are gonna
have to wait. Life seems to have intervened and it's not likely I'll find
time for radio this weekend. Have a safe & good trip home.
Hopefully, I'll manage to get on at some point.

Does anyone have old copies of Orbit magazine they would like to get rid
of? I have been an AMSAT member since mid 1980 and can only find two of
my old copies, Nov/Dec 1980 and April 1981.
I'd like to have more if anyone has some getting moldy in their cellar.
Or point me to an electronic arch
I believe an older (1989-90) edition of the Amateur Satellite Handbook had
the map on the inside back cover, and overlays that could be copied from the
pages.
Of course someone would have to create the overlays for more recent satellites.

You'll need a seperate one for each satellite.
The map is no problem but the transparent overlays are definately not
still available.
I've got unused overlays for AO8, AO9 and RS.

So I am not having much luck, does anyone have on I could buy maybe? This may

Hello all,
I'm new to satellite and I'm going to try my first QSOs on AO-27 during it's
daylight passes. Last weekend I listened to AO-27 on my tower mounted 432 beam
but for this I'll be setting up an arrow antenna on a tripod and an ft-736r.
I've had the arrow for years but never got around to

Hello
I have done this before, lets see if I can create a "movement". We all have
radio "stuff" (junque) laying around. I call this stuff. Round-to-it
projects. In that I'll fix, use, whatever when I get, "around-to-it". In

Hey Mal,
It's on the control unit. Part of the front panel. It's a lithium CR2032.
Remove the top and bottom covers and loosen the two screws that hold the
front panel and fold it down.

Does anyone know a) where the backup lithium cell battery is and b)what is

The operating manual doesn't give me a clue.
This old thing still works but needs a replacement. Thanks for your help.

I wanted to re-state something... If you have not sent your cards, I would
send them to Yuri's manager, Eugene, UX0FY. If you have already sent them
to Yuri, don't worry about it. From what I have gathered, it appears that
if Yuri does receive any he hands them off to Eugene. I would direct
Hi All,
I received QSL cards from Yuri, UT1FG’s, most recent /mm expedition
yesterday via his manager, UX0FY. I was missing 5 grids/QSOs, so I
forwarded the list to Eugene, UX0FY, and he forwarded them onto Yuri. I
received an email from Yuri last night and he said that he would have the
